Monza, a track with history. Big history!

For this race weekend we had the same cars running as on the Brands-Hatch track. Only this time Max Boodie did not share the yellow Corvette Stingray but he drove all the races himself. Even the 90 minute race wasn't a big deal for this skilled Endurance racer.

Michiel Campagne shared the Corvette Grand Sport in the 90 minute race with Dirk Janssen.
e the qualifying session it had rained for about half an hour and the track got super slippery. Both Michiel and Max had a handful on the car to keep them on the track.

On Saturday Michiel drove a race with the McLaren M8F in the Orwell cup. Also this race was on a super slippery and wet track. Michiel had a great time with the McLaren on rain tires. Due to the wet track some drivers decided to not start the race. So there were only 6 cars on the track. Michiel lapped the last 2 cars twice and won the race with almost one lap advantage on the number two.

Also just before the long race on Sunday it was rainy in Monza. During the first few laps the track was almost too wet to drive on racing speed. During this 90 minute race the drivers had to stop twice for a driver swap (when driving alone the driver had to walk around the car).
Michiel & Dirk finished on the 5th position with the Grand Sport and Max finished on a 21st position.

After the 90 minute race Michiel had to swap to the McLaren for the second Orwell Cup race. The track got almost dry and he decided to use slicks for this race. Also in this race there were very little cars on the track. Michiel won this race also.

We had a great time at this wonderful track.
