Vandaag bekeken (en positief geadviseerd aan Han in 't Veld) deze mooie Griffith 200. Han wil er in 2009 mee gaan deelnemen aan het NKHTGT.

De auto is in prachtige staat en in de jaren ´90 gerestaureerd door Griffith expert Steve Ferron in California.

Tijdens onderzoek naar originaliteit kwam het volgende verhaal met foto's naar voren;

This is a correct Griffith. It was the vehicle that was used when I introduced the book, The Griffith Years, at Saqrdi's Restaurant in New York City. I believe that we had lunch there during your visit to the states a few years back. It is chassis # 200/6/127 and the reason that it is a 1966 is that it was one of the cars that were left over at the factory and sold in 1966. The California title papers list it as a 1966 TVR with chassis # 200/6/127 and that was only a paperwork problem. I know the car and I am enclosing a couple of the photos that were taken in front of Sardi's in 2003. If you have any more questions, please direct them to me and I will help in any way. De huidige eigenaar Marshall bleek al 24 jaar de vaste monteur van Ferrari verzamelaar Peter Sachs (Goldman & Sachs). De setting waar de auto stond voor bezichtiging was dan ook bijzonder.
